Ordering & shipping
Where do you ship?
Australia-wide via Australia Post. We currently don't ship internationally, but stay tuned — it's on the list.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is $9.95 Australia-wide. Free shipping on all orders over $100. Express Post is available at checkout for $14.95 if you need it fast.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days. Standard delivery is 3–7 business days depending on your location. Express Post is 1–3 business days.
Will my order arrive in time for Mother's Day?
Yes — if you order by Wednesday 6 May with Express Post, your order will arrive in time for Mother's Day (Sunday 10 May).
Can I track my order?
Absolutely. As soon as your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email with your Australia Post tracking number.
Sizing & fit
What size is the Pony Bangle?
The Pony Bangle comes in one size: 68.5mm inside diameter (oval shape). It fits hands with a circumference of 17–19cm at the widest part of the knuckles.
How do I check if it'll fit?
Make a fist with your hand (fingers tucked in tight, thumb against your palm), then measure around the widest part across your knuckles using a soft measuring tape or a piece of string. If your hand circumference is 17–19cm, you're a perfect fit.
What if it doesn't fit?
No stress — we offer a free size exchange or full refund within 14 days if your bangle doesn't fit. No questions, no fuss.
Materials & care
What is the jewellery made from?
All Ava + Charlie pieces are made from surgical-grade stainless steel with 18k gold or silver PVD plating — the same coating used by luxury jewellery houses. It's hypoallergenic, waterproof, and tarnish-free.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes — that's actually why I started Ava + Charlie. Both my girls and I have sensitive skin, and our pieces are specifically designed to be hypoallergenic and gentle on even the most reactive ears and wrists.
Can I wear it in the shower / pool / ocean?
Yes to all three. The PVD plating is fully waterproof, so you can shower, swim, surf, sweat in it — wear it everywhere. Just give it a quick rinse with fresh water after a swim in the ocean or chlorine pool to keep it looking its best.
How do I care for my jewellery?
No special care required. If it gets soapy or salty, just rinse with fresh water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals like bleach or chlorine for prolonged periods.
Will it tarnish or change colour?
No. PVD plating is significantly more durable than traditional gold or silver plating — it won't tarnish, fade, or scratch with everyday wear. Each piece is made to last.
Returns & exchanges
What is your return policy?
We offer free size exchanges and full refunds within 14 days of delivery for unworn items in original condition. If you have a sizing or fit issue, reach out and we'll sort it.
My item arrived damaged. What do I do?
I'm so sorry! Email us at hello@avaandcharlie.com.au with a photo of the damage and your order number, and we'll send a replacement straight away.
